Tampa, FL, November 25, 2014 – Fintech has received the 'Innovative Project of the Year' award from the Tampa Bay Technology Forum. This recognition of Fintech, the only company approved for electronic payments and data to the alcohol industry in all 50 states, came on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the TBTF Awards Gala.
Competing against several renowned technology companies, such as Nielsen and Tech Data, in the ‘Project of the Year’ category, Fintech won the award for their work with Walmart, the largest retailer in the world, to efficiently roll out electronic data and payments on a state by state basis to connect Walmart with Fintech’s more than 2,300 nationwide distributors.
Fintecher Brian Nelms, Technical Support Analyst, was also named a top three finalist for 'Young Professional of the Year' Award.
The Tampa Bay Technology Forum's Industry Achievement Awards honors the individuals and organizations leading the way in the technology community. Winners are selected by a prominent panel of judges and are recognized for their success at a presentation in front of more than 400 industry professionals and decision-makers.
