The U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Best Business of the Year winner is once again proudly sponsoring the 5th annual Fintech Business Plan Competition at the University of South Florida (USF).

The competition provides aspiring entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to transform their innovative ideas into reality and is open to all USF undergrad and graduate students. Companies with at least one current USF student in the ownership group are also eligible.

Applicants must submit one bound copy of their business plan to the Center for Entrepreneurship, 4202 E. Fowler Ave. BSN 3334, Tampa, Fl, 33620-5500, and email one PDF copy to [email protected].

Submissions should be received by March 28, 2013 to be entered for the $15,000 grand prize. There are also in kind service awards for second and third place. First round judges will consist of the Center for Entrepreneurship's board members and faculty.

The formal competition will take place on Friday, April 5 where finalists will present their business plans to the judge's panel, which includes representatives from the sponsor companies, business professionals, and serial entrepreneurs. A 15-minute Q&A will follow each presentation.

The judges will then convene to make their decision and announce the winners at the awards luncheon that same day. Whether participants receive the cash prize, or simply go on to execute their business venture, everyone walks away with experience that can later be applied throughout their careers.

When asked about the company's sponsorship of the competition, Fintech's CEO Scott Riley said, "Every great company in history has been started by an entrepreneur. Fintech takes great pride in helping develop the future entrepreneurs of the world."
